River Tagus

Believe it or not, this tiny stream is the Tagus, the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula, which empties into the Atlantic Ocean near Lisbon (Portugal) but whose source is in the Albarracin mountains. Usually its flow here is dry most of the year, but winter rains and snowfalls have given it "new life", as you can see.

こう見えても、信じられなくても、この小川は実際にアルバラシンの近くの山に起源があるイベリア半島の一番長い川、タホ川だ。　この辺では、その流れは一年中にほとんどいつも乾いているが、今年の冬のの降雪と降雨のおかげで、ご覧のとおり水がたくさん流れている。

Aunque parezca difícil de creer, este alegre riachuelo que discurre por entre los verdes prados y pinares de la sierra de Albarracín no es otro que el Tajo, el río más largo de la Península, que va a parar al Atlántico por Lisboa en una desembocadura de cuatro kilómetros de ancho pero que aquí, en su nacimiento en los montes turolenses, tiene este modesto aspecto. Y a veces ni eso, porque lo normal es que en esta zona el cauce del río esté seco la mayor parte del año, pero las lluvias y nieves que han caído recientemente le han dado abundante agua y ahora se ve así de bien. ^_^
